Impact of KVK
- Posta cultivation, a harmful and illegal practice of Chatra district was replaced with marigold cultivation.
- Mono culture of fish was converted in to composite fish culture and integrated fish based farming systems.
- Spread of Birsa Niger 1 was made in over 100ha of area in different blocks of Chatra district. Farmers were benefited by additional 30% yield as compared to farmer varieties and get Rs. 5000/ha extra income.
- Application of bio fertilizer was increased in the district from zero level to a substantial extent.
- Local upland variety Gora was replaced by Anjali and Vandana varieties in more than 1200 ha.
- Seed replacement ratio of the district increased from 10% to 35% due to initiation of farmer participatory seed production and distribution programme.
- T & D breed of Pig became important income generating enterprise among the resource - poor farmers in the villages.
- Due to different technology dissemination interventions consumption oriented vegetable cultivation changed in to market -oriented cultivation.

- A total number of 310 entrepreneurs were developed in the district in different enterprises like dairy, poultry, piggery, goatry, fishery and vegetable production.
